Washing Machine Timeline

In our Hurumaumu 3 with Mrs Hastie. We were learning about timelines of inventions, so we had to design, but we got to chose what invention we do our timeline about so I chose the washing machine. They were very interesting to learn about.

Research the inventor and invention to the present day.

  1. Lots of people use it.

  2. The washing machine, in the powered version that we know it, has existed since 1908, though there were previous incarnations as well.

  3. Washing machines that load from the front, rather than from the top, are more efficient and clean their loads better.

How did it improve. From hand washing in a river. to put your washing in and wait.

Did You Learn Something?

  1. Kia ora Michaela. You have done excellent research on the evolution of the washing machine. It's great to see that you can self-manage and keep yourself on task.
The layout of your timeline could be improved if you put it in order from the first washing machine until modern day washing machines.
Keep up the super work. Mrs Hastie.
