Benjamin Franklin

 Hey bloggers

I have to work on an inventor and their inventions.

So I chose Benjamin Franklin. He invented lots of things like the stove and glass but lots more as well.

He lived from 1706 to 1790

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts  and died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

He invented

1. Electricity

2. Stove

3.  Reading glasses

4. Library

Failures of Benjamin Franklin

German newspaper: Benjamin Franklin published the first German language newspaper in the United - States. Benjamin Franklin's newspaper went down in business in Philadelphia, Zeitung in 1732. When the public were not buying his newspaper it went out of press less than a year later.

Photonic Alphabet: Benjamin Franklin tried to eliminate C, Q and W out of the Alphabet and sounds like "th" and "sh", replacing them better sounding letters. This change was never close to being released by Noah Webster and Benjamin Franklin as it was considered to be to radical and the idea was scrapped.

  1. Ka pai Michaela. You have explained Benjamin Franklin's inventions and included great photos of these. You have also listed two of his ideas that weren't so successful. Next time, try to have less of a blank gap at the bottom of your blog post.
Keep up the good work completing extra reading activities. Mrs Hastie

2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
