SLJ - Week 1 - Day 4 - Activity 1 - More than meets the Eye

Questions I would ask Sir Edmund Hilary if I ever interviewed him would be:

1 - What year were you born a how old were you when you climbed mt everest?

2 - Why did you want to climb mt  everest?

3 - How did you avoid the avalanches?

4 - How did you get to eat during your journey?

5 - How did you stay warm, how many layers of clothing did you have to wear?

  1. Kia ora Michaela,

My name is Susie and I am a member of the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team just like Emma. Well done on coming up with a list of questions that you would like to ask Sir Edmund Hillary during an interview.

I like how you have thought about the different struggles and barriers Sir Edmund Hillary may have come across during his hike. I am quite interested to find out how he overcame some of these issues. The layers of clothes he had to wear must've been super heavy!

If you could interview anyone else from New Zealand who is well-known for their success, who would it be? What sort of questions would you ask her/him?

I look forward to your reply,
    Susie

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
